Parx Casino tournament poker is back

After years of speculation, tournament poker is finally back at Parx Casino. Once known for its groundbreaking Big Stax series, the casino has been dry when it comes to tournaments since the COVID-19 pandemic.

This past month, an email went out to poker players in the area announcing that two weekly tournaments would be added to the poker room. The email read as follows:

“Daily tournaments are coming back to the Parx Poker Room! We’re starting with 2 tournaments each week, but be sure to keep your eyes open as we will be adding more!”

Tournament schedule:

Every Monday beginning Aug. 21 at 7:15 p.m.:

$200 buy–in Double Green Chip Bounty NL Hold’em

Every Friday beginning Aug. 25 at 11:15 a.m.:

$340 buy–in NL Hold’em with re-entries

Will this mean a return to the Big Stax or has that ship sailed? PlayPennsylvania will keep you updated as more information is released.
