Pragmatic Play, Bally Casino Pennsylvania Release ‘Viking Forge’ Game

Pragmatic Play is on a roll, and the newer Bally Casino Pennsylvania is benefiting.

Pragmatic Play launched yet another exciting title in Viking Forge for PA online casinos, employing the innovative game mechanics the company is known for.

Norse mythology and fun game mechanics make Viking Forge a winner

Pragmatic Play’s newest title for Bally Casino PA might seem like a typical slot game on the surface. Gameplay combines mythological subject matter with a popular game mechanic. The cascading wins or “avalanche” mechanic boosts the potential winning power of a single spin.

Pragmatic Play’s COO, Irina Cornides, sees the formula as a winning combination. Cornides said in a press release:

“Our mythological games have proven time and again to be fan-favourites, and we’re combining that with the ever-popular cascading wins mechanic in our latest creation, Viking Forge.”

However, the game actually combines three exciting game mechanics that players already love.

Another feature, the ‘pays anywhere’ mechanic, means that winning symbols can appear anywhere on the reels to award a prize, not only in certain paylines. Slot players may have seen this feature in other Pragmatic Play games, like Gates of Olympus and Sugar Rush.

A coin collection feature tops off the combo of game mechanics. Multiplier coins or cash-value coins attach to other game symbols, adding even more winning potential to each spin.

Corinides said, “Adding in a coin collection feature that can either award cash prizes or multipliers ensures fans of numerous game styles can embrace the Norse genre and enjoy a thrilling gaming experience.”

Viking Forge features a 5×6 grid and awards a win for landing eight or more matching symbols. Swords, hammers, Vikings and drinking mugs make up the game symbols. Upon hitting a win, the winning symbols disappear, allowing new symbols to drop into place for another potential win without using another spin.

Landing four scatters launches the Free Spins round, which awards at least 10 spins and a minimum win of 3x your bet. This is where the coin collection feature really shines. Coin values accumulate until the end of the bonus round, and the new total coin value multiplies the winning from the whole round. The maximum multiplier is 10,000x.

Pragmatic Play and Bally Casino PA offer a variety of popular titles

Pragmatic Play is a prolific game developer, releasing upward of eight new titles every month. In PA, the company has partnered with Bally Casino to deliver its popular slot titles along with Bingo, live casino games and game show content.

Since the launch of Bally Casino PA in June, Pragmatic Play has released several new titles on the platform. Recently, the Halloween-themed slot game Infective Wilds went live. Available year-round, that title includes an innovative game mechanic that allows Wild symbols to spread to adjacent high-paying symbols, increasing the potential for big wins.

Upcoming games in November include Chase for Glory, Timber Stacks and the newly released Sugar Supreme PowerNudge.

Retail Bally Casino at Nittany Mall potentially on the way

Bally’s has yet to open a retail casino in PA. A legal battle has ensued over the potential license for a retail Bally’s Casino in State College won by Ira Lubert and SC Gaming in 2020. The company that lost the bid for that license, Stadium Casino, alleges that some of Lubert’s partners are not eligible to hold the license.

Stadium Casino has been a thorn in the side of Lubert and SC Gaming, intervening and challenging the license with the PGCB and later the court. The PA Supreme Court now has the final say.

The Bally’s mini-casino, slated for a Nittany Mall location, is likely to move ahead eventually. Meanwhile, the online Bally Casino PA got a license to operate as a Qualified Gaming Entity, avoiding the need to partner with a retail casino, and has been operating successfully since June.
